Today is the beginning of the plant and irrigation layout. Some of the native plants on the site will include: red willow, big leaf maple, white alder, california rose, wild strawberry, black twinberry, douglas iris, common rush, torrent sedge, western swordfern, and alum root.
Both banks of the project site will be planted with native vegetation.
Red willows are rooted from stakes that are buried 1/3 into wetted soil.
This is a lot of work!! Thanks to Bioengineering Assoiciates and ESA PWA for making this a beautiful place.
