This week our team went back to ESA PWA to determine the best ecological solution for our site at the confluence of the north and south forks of Strawberry Creek. After much deliberation, and the help of a handy cardboard model, we decided to use a combination of log weirs and rock step pools in our design. ESA PWA also provided us with ideas how to approach fundraising and increase public interest in our project.
Meanwhile, thanks to the surveyed map Pete created in AutoCAD, Jackie and Junice were able to start compiling construction drawings. The two architectural designers also brainstormed ideas for community access to the creek. Our construction drawings will need to be completed in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more comprehensive design plans!
